[Ollie and Faulkner stand outside on the lawn near the Wisterian Town Hall.]

[Ollie groans sarcastically]

[He shuffles his stack of notecards]

[22:16:20] ✦[rp] Ollie: there's some ...really interesting questions here

[Flick arrives, pushing beside a branch, a gentle smile on his face.]

[22:16:25] ✦[rp] Ollie: oh hi!

[22:16:26] ✦ [rp] Flick: hello :)

[22:16:37] ✦[rp] Ollie: i did not. see you

[22:16:44] ✦[rp] Ollie: how are you feeling about the debate?

[22:16:54] ✦ [rp] Flick: okay i think

[22:17:00] ✦ [rp] Flick: reasonably confident.

[22:17:11] ✦[rp] Ollie: thats nice

[Doc strides in, nodding to Ollie]

[22:17:15] ✦[rp] Doc: Greetings.

[22:17:19] ✦[rp] Ollie: hi doc

[The Wizard arrives. A member of Corroded, but technically a neutral journalist, and a last minute invite to the debate.]

[22:17:23] ✦[rp] The Wizard: Ah, hello? Did I get the right portal?

[He waves, finding a seat]

[22:17:29] ✦[rp] The Wizard: Hello!

[22:17:35] ✦[rp] The Wizard: Been a while, folks.

[22:17:40] ✦[rp] Ollie: oh! oh wow, hello

[22:17:45] ✦ [rp] Flick: Hello the wizard :)

[22:17:52] ✦[rp] Ollie: i'm guessing you heard about the debate pfft

[22:18:05] ✦[rp] The Wizard: I got a letter a few days ago, something about being an unbiased reporter or something.

[22:18:39] ✦[rp] Ollie: well it's nice to have someone from outside the faction witness the debate

[22:18:49] ✦[rp] Doc: Reporter? This is being reported?

[22:18:55] ✦[rp] Ollie: i guess so

[22:19:04] ✦[rp] The Wizard: I've had a little radio broadcast up, thought it'd make good news.

[22:19:07] ✦[rp] Ollie: i mean what's the worst that could happen from that

[22:19:18] ✦[rp] Doc: You do not want me to answer that.

[22:19:44] ✦[rp] Ollie: alright alright

[22:20:21] ✦[rp] Ollie: i guess i gotta say things! Today we will invite our two candidates to leadership, Flick and Doc!

[He waits for them to approach. They don’t. He sighs, waving them up to the stage.]

[22:20:31] ✦[rp] Ollie: you two can come to the stage now

[The two find their respective places at the podium, Ollie shuffles their cards to the first question.]

[22:20:49] ✦[rp] Ollie: i'll be asking you two a series of questions, both of you shall answer

[22:21:14] ✦ [rp] Flick: alrighty

[22:21:27] ✦[rp] Doc: Very well.

[22:21:28] ✦[rp] Ollie: i'll be saying who goes first, there's a mix of questions from me, and some from members of our faction

[22:21:45] ✦[rp] Ollie: and you two will be able to ask each other one question as well

[22:22:21] ✦[rp] Ollie: let's be sure to keep this civil, there's no time limit on questions, since i dont believe is necessary

[22:22:32] ✦[rp] Ollie: would each of you like to do a short introduction before the questions start?

[22:23:02] ✦ [rp] Flick: Doc can go first if he wants to

[22:24:06] ✦[rp] Ollie: alright uhm... anyway yes doc you can go first, give a short introduction

[22:25:11] ✦[rp] Doc: You can call me Doc. I was a surgeon and engineer before coming here on accident.

[22:25:46] ✦[rp] Ollie: Oh wow! How interesting, how about you Flick?

[22:26:14] ✦ [rp] Flick: You can call me Flick, I've been here for a while and I think it would be cool to try to help Wisteria interact with the other two factions :)

[22:27:02] ✦[rp] Ollie: that's nice, alright i'll begin the questions.

[22:27:54] ✦[rp] Ollie: First one is going to Doc. I'm sure it would be helpful for the members of our faction to know what you will be doing if in charge, so in that case, could you tell us some of your proposals?

[22:29:37] ✦[rp] Doc: Vaccinations. Everyone needs vaccinations to prepare for any bio weapons used in conflict

[22:30:10] ✦[rp] Ollie: alright then …

[The Wizard nods thoughtfully, and jots something down.]

[22:30:50] ✦[rp] Ollie: well then, same question to you Flick. What are your proposals?

[22:31:48] ✦ [rp] Flick: Um. I think it would be. Good to encourage the other factions to visit more? We have a pretty area and I know I go out to Verde Drug a lot so it'd be nice to find ways to get other people to come visit Wisteria.

[22:32:32] ✦[rp] Ollie: Oh ..tourism!

[22:32:36] ✦ [rp] Flick: Sure!

[22:32:46] ✦Faulkner [rp]: hm

[22:33:43] ✦[rp] Ollie: Alright, next question, one id direct more towards Doc but, Flick goes first. How will you ensure the safety of the citizens of Wisteria?

[22:36:30] ✦ [rp] Flick: we can be polite to the other factions to try to keep ourselves out of trouble, and I can help sort out armor and bow enchantments if worst comes to worst

[22:36:55] ✦[rp] Ollie: Alright! How about you Doc?

[22:37:59] ✦[rp] Doc: If anyone dares to attack they will be met with a nervous system destroying bioweapon the likes of which have never been seen before

[Ollie blinks.]

[22:38:21] ✦[rp] Ollie: ..Okay!

[22:38:36] ✦Faulkner [rp]: mmh

[22:39:49] ✦[rp] Ollie: Well then, interesting answer, I guess it will be interesting to ask you the following question then.. What will you do to improve relationships with the other factions? Would you?

[22:40:59] ✦[rp] Doc: Trades?

[22:41:36] ✦[rp] Ollie: You don't sound so sure of yourself, Doc

[Faulkner snorts, readjusting their crossbow]

[22:41:49] ✦Faulkner [rp]: such a detailed response

[Doc narrows his eyes]

[22:42:03] ✦[rp] Doc: You're pointing a crossbow at me.

[Faulkner sniffs, expression unchanged.]

[22:42:13] ✦Faulkner [rp]: so?

[Flick adds, meekly]

[22:42:15] ✦ [rp] Flick: It is a Little off putting, the crossbow

[22:42:36] ✦[rp] Ollie: well he does make a point... maybe you could put away the crossbow

[22:42:45] ✦Faulkner [rp]: hm

[22:42:52] ✦Faulkner [rp]: I'd rather not

[22:42:54] ✦[rp] Ollie: please?

[22:42:57] ✦ [rp] Flick: compromise and you can keep a sword in hand?

[Faulkner slings the crossbow over its back, keeping its hand on its sword’s hilt instead]

[22:43:14] ✦Faulkner [rp]: ..fine

[22:43:33] ✦ [rp] Flick: Thank you

[22:43:33] ✦[rp] Ollie: thank you

[22:43:41] ✦[rp] Ollie: now could you continue your answer?

[22:44:31] ✦[rp] Doc: No weapon can divert an attack on your nervous system. A crossbow will not help you against it. Anyway, if they trade away all their weapons, they won't have any left to attack.

[Faulkner raises his voice]

[22:45:30] ✦Faulkner [rp]: I don't think your nervous system can divert a firework explosion either

[22:45:36] ✦[rp] Ollie: That is a solution. Flick same question, how do you plan on improving relationships with the other factions?

[22:46:53] ✦ [rp] Flick: Probably the same as earlier? Politeness? Do no harm, take no shit,

[Ollie has a look of relief on his face as a realizes they managed to get through the first round of questions]

[22:48:29] ✦[rp] Ollie: Okay! The preceding questions have been submitted by members of our faction..

[He then remembers. What some of the questions are.]

[22:48:52] ✦[rp] Ollie: alright then..

[22:49:38] ✦[rp] Ollie: Uhm.. First question for Flick. ..What would you do if you were a frog?

[The Wizard stifles a sound]

[22:49:48] ✦[rp] The Wizard: That's a debate question?

[22:49:58] ✦Faulkner [rp]: apparently.

[He shrugs; remembering as a journalist, it’s important to be respectful of other cultures practices]

[22:49:54] ✦[rp] The Wizard: Interesting.

[22:50:02] ✦[rp] The Wizard: I'll have to write that one down.

[22:50:13] ✦[rp] Ollie: well uh, these are questions the faction thought were good enough to ask

[Doc stands and thinks for a very long period of time. He leans in close to the mic]

[He steps back, and then steps forward again]

[23:00:54] ✦[rp] Doc: Travel in packs, good teeth.

[Doc steps back. Ollie furrows his brow in confusion, waiting to see if he adds anything else]

[23:01:42] ✦[rp] Ollie: .....Alright!

[23:02:50] ✦[rp] Ollie: Next question will be ones made by you! Flick, please direct a question to Doc. At this point it could be anything ...i dont think theres a high standard for questions at this point-

[23:03:16] ✦Faulkner [rp]: the bar is in hell.

[Flick considers the question for a long period of time, before finally asking:]

[23:07:08] ✦ [rp] Flick: Doc would you rather eat a block of moss or a plank block

[Doc answers immediately]

[23:07:12] ✦[rp] Doc: Moss

[Ollie looks like he would rather be dead than be here right now]

[23:07:35] ✦[rp] Ollie: Good to know both candidates .would eat moss

[23:07:46] ✦Faulkner [rp]: who would want to eat wood...?

[23:08:15] ✦[rp] Ollie: Okay, Doc you can direct a question at Flick

[23:08:41] ✦[rp] Doc: Why do you want to be the leader

[23:09:08] ✦ [rp] Flick: thought it’d be fun

[23:10:25] ✦[rp] Ollie: Alright, last question. I suppose it is similar to Doc's question but I will still ask. Flick, why should YOU be the leader of Wisteria?

[23:11:11] ✦ [rp] Flick: i. uh. don't really have an answer?? I am rapidly reconsidering.

[Ollie’s voice is thick with sarcasm]

[23:11:27] ✦[rp] Ollie: That's a great sign-

[23:11:48] ✦[rp] Ollie: Doc, why should you be the leader of our faction

[23:11:57] ✦[rp] Doc: Healthcare.

[23:12:15] ✦[rp] Ollie: I don't know what that is.

[23:12:35] ✦[rp] Doc: Not getting sick.

[23:12:43] ✦[rp] Ollie: Anyway, thank you both for attending and answering all these questions in this debate.

[23:12:45] ✦[rp] Doc: Or dying.

[23:13:23] ✦[rp] Ollie: Additionally, thank you to those who attended this debate. Hopefully these answers will sway your vote one way or another, into the right leader of Wisteria

[Doc leans into the mic before walking off the stage]

[Faulk shouts back]

[He stays, and shouts back]

[23:14:05] ✦[rp] Doc: Fantastic! That was the goal.

[23:14:34] ✦[rp] Ollie: Thanks for those parting words Doc. Do you have any Flick?

[23:15:35] ✦ [rp] Flick: Um. I'm really reconsidering this? Doc seems to have like, plans and everything for what to do. and I Don't??

[23:16:45] ✦[rp] Doc: If you want actually good ideas I can help

[23:17:00] ✦Faulkner [rp]: doubtful

[23:16:58] ✦[rp] Ollie: Great parting words guys-

[23:14:14] ✦[rp] The Wizard: It's been a while since I've have the pleasure of watching a good civil debate, good on you to both candidates

[Faulk approaches, crossbow brandished]

[23:17:20] ✦[rp] Doc: CROSSBOW. AWAY. NOW

[The Wizard hops out of the way]

[23:17:24] ✦[rp] The Wizard: Oh wow! Alright then

[Ollie shouts at Doc]

[23:17:25] ✦[rp] Ollie: don't YELL at him

[23:17:55] ✦Faulkner [rp]: perhaps don't yell at the beast with the weapon in their hands

[Ollie shouts to the crowd]

[23:17:38] ✦[rp] Ollie: okay this debate is over, thanks everyone for coming

[Quieter]

[23:17:42] ✦[rp] Ollie: go eat moss or something

[Doc pokes a finger at Faulk]

[23:18:00] ✦[rp] Doc: This is the third time he has pointed a crossbow at me that is loaded and I do not appreciate it.

[Faulk bares their teeth. Ollie grabs the back of Faulk’s shirt.]

[23:18:18] ✦[rp] Ollie: it's not worth it Faulkner, lets just go okay

[The Wizard looks on from afar, wanting to make sure he’s said pleasant goodbyes before he leaves]

[23:18:21] ✦[rp] The Wizard: Thank you for your hospitality but I should probably be on my way before a fight breaks out

[23:18:32] ✦[rp] Ollie: Ah yeah, bye Wizard! Hopefully this was an Experience

[23:18:52] ✦[rp] The Wizard: It was absolutely something

[The Wizard leaves. Ollie flattens slightly, Faulk next to them.]

[Faulkner narrows his eyes at Doc]

[Flick whispers to Doc]
